The History

The droppings occurred on August 6th-9th, 1945. The bombing sites were Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. The bombings were not the only ones though, these followed harsh and lengthy fire bombings on Japan. This, however, was more significant because it was the use of a large, newly developed, atomic bomb. The Allies were preparing for a costly invasion of Japan long before these droppings. In fact, they had an estimated death toll in the millions. This is mostly irrelevant though, because these sites were populated by civilians. The civilians also suffered many mutations through generations, causing the injury toll, or what one might consider an "injury", to skyrocket. This act was clearly motivated through revenge as it happened right after the Bataan death march, and there were posters used to influence the invasion of Japan. -See pictures/videos for the picture of this-

Here are some cold hard facts: Within a couple months of the dropping of the atomic bombs, the initial effects killed about 90,000-166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000-80,000 in Nagasaki, with about half the deaths occurring in the first day. Estimations show that 60% died from flash or flame burns, another 30% died from the falling debris from the explosion, and another 10% from 'other' causes. The following months others died from burns, radiation sickness, and some other injuries, compound by illnesses. After six days of what would seem to be death on Earth in its most pure form, Japan surrenders officially to the Allies. They signed the document Instrument of Surrender on September 2nd, officially ending the war.
